Israel: Has Anyone Here Visited It Lately?

Israel is concerned about its travelers security like no other country which makes you the tourist feel safe. Media coverage is biased Israel is pretty safe...

You have to travel to israel to find out for yourself... because anywho says travel to israel is not safe has not visited the country... U.S gov't travel site shows general concern for travel for any country that undergoes conflicts - but clearly israel is an exception... Israel has the best Federal security system in the world! do your own research

My company sends me to Israel a few times per year. I've been just about everywhere I need to go without problems. I would recommend waiting until after Passover/Easter for the prices to drop.

I was in Israel this past October for a friends wedding, I even rented a car and drove around the country for a few days.

Never once faced any problems, unless you count irate Israeli drivers =P

It really depends on where you visit- obviously, the more controversial areas (as well as those closest to the borders, for the most part) are less safe than others. However, as long as you stick to the main sites and don't take public buses, you'll be just fine.

I have been there during the Lebanon conflict in 2006 and still felt safe. I was in Haifa and Kiriat Shmonah right next to the Lebanese border helping to serve food to the IDF soldiers. I still felt safe and can't wait to go back.

My friends just came back. It is safe, depending on where you visit. Go enjoy!
