Follow-up Bears question: Do you think they will move?!?

A lot of people from my last question about what the Bears are doing (signing Rex and Orton and letting Barrian and Griese go) mentioned that the ownership seems like they are trying to get the team ready for a move.

Is this possible?! I mean, "Daaaaa Bears" How could Chicago residents let this happen? The Bears are as big in Chi-town as the Sox are in Bean-town. What happens to the Bears/Pack rivalry? I honestly don't EVER see them moving...but it woudl explain their aweful moves this offseason.

What do you think? If you don't think they will move, what do you think about the moves this offseason? Do you see light at the end of the tunnel?

I don't know where this ABSURD rumor is coming from. There is NO chance that the Bears are moving. NONE!

The city of Chicago would never let it happen.

The NFL, as much as they want an LA team, will NEVER let the Bears move from Chicago. There is too much fan support there. They saw what happened when the Cleveland Browns left for Baltimore and quickly moved to give them back an expansion team. The NFL does not want to move the Bears to LA and then add another team or move another team to Chicago.

I'm sorry, but Berrian was overpriced and Griese is not starter material (and I LIKE the guy). I think ownership looks at Rex & Orton and hopes that it catches lightning in a bottle again with one of these guys. Remember that Orton won a ton of games in his rookie year and Grossman beat him out two years ago to lead the team to the Super Bowl. If one of the two were to mature a little, the Bears could be in good shape. Realistically, look for the Bears to draft a QB this year and Rex or Orton just to keep the spot warm until he is ready.

Remember, this team DID resign Briggs. They are not simply giving up.

Can we please stop this STUPID rumor!?!

Just because the team makes questionable moves does NOT mean that they are moving to another city. If bad moves meant a team was packing up, where are Oakland, Atlanta and Miami going? Iraq?

There is no way they move. They are in a huge city with a newly renovated stadium.

If they were going to move it would have been to a new stadium in the Chicagoland area before Soldier Field was renovated.

The Bears are not going anywhere. Favre retired! The NFC north is wide open!

    They want a warmer climate.
