well w/ the way bush is handeling things money wise, we probably will be in a depression, but we would get into one anyway because of the buisness cycle, right now, bush will not admit it, but we are going into recession. (one step away from going into depression) this depression probably will not be anywhere close to the great depression, but about every 2 - 6 years there is atleast a small depression. personally i think that this will be a larger one because of bush's lack of money understanding.

No, yet shall we be heading into yet another era of stagflation (resembling that of the Seventies). The final stagflation grow to be led to via the government borrowing money to fund the Vietnam conflict (which costed approximately $550 Billion in immediately's money), and then printing dollar expenses to pay lower back our money owed. This led to wild inflation, which led to companies to shorten grant dramatically to preserve expenditures. They saved money via laying off workers foremost to intense unemployment (stagnation). interior the final 6 years, we've borrowed over $900 Billion (and that's no longer a typo) from China! the precise same difficulty ought to play out lower back. We solved the final stagflation via bringning costs of activity above 20% ending the supply marvel that cuased the inflation. This threw the economy right into a wild recession, which we ended via reducing the fees of activity to spur the economy. the full technique took approximately 3 years (although the stagflation lasted over a decade). Or while you're a Republican (fairly a Reaganomic) the only ingredient that ended the recession (which grow to be intentionally created via the Fed) grow to be the ERTA of 1981. yet i'm a Democrat and have faith that the Fed solved the difficulty, no longer Reagan. we are in a position to stay away from yet another stagflation, yet we'd desire to behave at as quickly as.

Anything is possible. I do that it is unlikely but things are getting worse. There is plenty of evidence. It seems to be easier to hide things. The best thing we can do is to do our best to prepare but to continue living. Use good sense and reason. Pay attention to what is happening. Continue to learn and look for opportunities.

We're already there but no one officially wants to admit it because then we will get into the habit of spending less than we already are spending which would throw us even further. Just make sure you're pantries full and try to save money as much as possible.

    It's just you.

Read up on why a depression occurs. I suggest you start by googling the Smoot-Hawley Tariff act.
