Why are houses square and not round?

I once lived in a Romanesque brick building and it had many rounded corners and an interesting design. It was in bad shape but it was a historical building. I guess that the bricks made it easier to make the rounded parts. Most building materials are standardized which alos contributes to the boring quality they have.

Because it would be much more difficult to build a round house...........kick. Chuck Norris!

I guess because they're easier to construct.
