Both opinions.
I guess it's wrong because only you can know who you are by the art cause your vision of the art can be very different than others vision even though you all like it.
I mean for example i like a painting of a black and creepy cemetery because of the shadow work, the attention to details, that little hidden skull at the far back corner... and you like it because you drink blood. Who are you to say that I'm a vampire and who am i to say that you just like art?!
But also, if you explain to me why you like that piece of art, then I'll know more about you. So yes and no.

I don't see why not. It's no surprise that our unconscious mind likes to mimic itself and be around things like it. But for a person to say without fail that such things tell who a person is, no, no, I do not think so.
