Midwife or Dr?
For those of you that have seen both which do you prefer. I saw a Dr. for my first pregnancy and I didn't really care for it. I felt like a patient and not a person. And my delivery could have gone better. I was thinking about using a midwife this time. I think that it would be a more personal experience. What do you think?
A friend of mine just had her little girl. She had 3 different midwives. She said they were great. They even delivered the baby. We go to the same clinic so I will probaley use them. So, I know that if she liked them that I will.

I prefer seeing the midwife... they are more personal although i am not going to be able to have MY midwife deliver my baby at the hospital i am going to.... The midwives take more time to ensure you are comfortable and getting the care you need.

i have seen both and i felt the same way at each office. i guess you will just have to try the midwife out this time for a few months or weeks and if that does not go too well, try to find another dr

Well I see a Doctor and he is great. He is not just a Doctor he is also a father which has made a difference with the compasion. He makes me feel so comfortable. I picked him because my cousin had a baby back in Nov and I got to be in the Delivery room. He was awesome! Choose one that makes you comfortable and you feel comfortable talking to him/her.
