How can I move everything I have from one hard drive to another?

Ive got a hard drive w bad IDE connection pins and would like to replace it but dont want to lose anything.How can I quickly transfer everything from one to another?My current HD cant be moved in fear of losing my current sloppy connection so everythings very touchy.

    there's a cable you can buty at any store that handles software/hardware stuff. it transfers stuff directly from one computer to the other.

    Install the new HD into the old box as a slave drive. Then copy everything from old to new.

    Finally, move the new HD back to the new box.

    There is no faster or better way to transfer lots of data.

    You could also get networking cable and link the two computers together and transfer that way. But the guy that said to buy an external hard drive may have the best solution.

    Buy an USB external hard drive plug it in and copy the data

    Buy a new hd(bigger than the old one) and instal it inside, download http://www.miray.de/products/sat.hdclone.html and use it. Simply copying everything will not work.
