I want to go to college- Where do I start?

I have tried to apply for the financial aid before and didnt qualify. What other steps can i take so that I can go to a nice college and get a degree without having to pay every dime of my paycheck to do so?

Update:

I went to community college for two years already and didnt get anything out of it but an empty piggy bank :-( I want to attend a nice school is that possible or do I have to have lots of $$$$ to go in the beginning

Well what do you want to go to school for? It depends where you want to go.. If you tell me what you what to go to school for then I would be able to direct you in the right direction. O and I know ways to get financial aid no matter how much you made that year... So tell me what you want to do then I will tell you how and where to go. Email me at steve.aguirre9471@yahoo.com. i would start off going to a community college...its cheap and i really do belive that you get the same general education as a bigger, pricier school. After that you will have to fill out another financial aid form to go on to a 4 year school, and there will also be more scholarships available to continue your education. that is what i am doing right now. i wish you the best of luck.

....hmmmm....if your not approved for financial aid at this point..well i dont know. I wouldnt try going to a private school if i were you. i would try a state school because they are alot cheaper. maybe you can go to one close to your house (within driving distance) so you can save on room and board...I dont know why colleges cost so much it is complely nuts in my opinion. they make it so hard for us to get an education at a decent price. my findings is that you have to be completly dirt poor or of a minority group (even if your family is well off you have a better chance of getting financial aid if your a minority)...they make it impossible for the working class..Well again good luck. i hope it all works out

College is great. Although have you considered a internship with a company of your desires. Remember experience with a known and reputable company is just as good.
