Monitor Colour Problem?
I got a problem with my monitor. First it all started when 1 day my LCD Monitor (Dell e173fp) died with a spark sound when I was using it. So I send it to repair, after I receive it back, my monitor doesn't show the actual color anymore. I tested it, played around with the color settings on both my monitor and pc, but the problem still exist. I found that that I have a problem with the grey color. Anything that is grey, it is replaced with a slight violet colour, the darker the grey is, the more violet it goes. I surfed the web for those color block tests and verified that between white and black, violet replace it, the darker the more intensive the violet gets. I even tested my pc with another monitor and verified it's the monitor's problem, including changing the wire plugs, tightening the plug, resetting back to factory settings. Hopefully that's enough information.
PS : I accidentally left the monitor in the car for a few days because I was busy, hope that didn't cause the problem.
I told the technician the problem, but somehow he said that it can't be fixed. Anyways I sent my to him for repair because the charges are cheap. Anything that I can do?

If it is a problem with the monitor like you say, just send it back to the repair shop they obviously didn't get it all right.
If you are higher than 40,000 ft it is not designed to work that high.
As for the car, there are several things that could go wrong
It should not be a problem unless it was hit by something, or the car got very hot, or cold: 41° to 95°F (5° to 35 °C ) is good. Also any humidity other than 10% to 80% willl damage the monitor.

Hi, check your display cable cos a problem can arise from there. if the pins on the display cable are broken or ben, then you will be seeing different colors on the screen. If that is the case, then you buy a new one and replace it. Or you loose your monitor and check the colors settings on the RGB board. The R stands for red color, G for green color, and B for blue color. Try and adjust the three colors and see what will happen. And also it might be that some components on the RGB board got burn when the monitor spark. You should replace those components.
