some these may not sound familiar, but they were my favorite albums in 77

I think this may have been the year Progressive and Hard Rock were losing their hold - and Punk and New Wave were starting their "Ascent to the Throne" (hoy, that's a good album title)

    1. Now is the Happiest Time of Your Life (Daevid Allen)

    2. Instructions for Angels (David Bedford)

    3. Quark, Strangeness, and Charm (Hawkwind)

    4. Songs from the Wood (Jethro Tull)

    5. Before and After Science (Brian Eno)

    EDIT: Additional --

    Low (David Bowie)

    Spiral - Vangelis

    The Idiot - Iggy Pop

    Animals - Pink Floyd

    Mirage & Body Love Vols 1 & 2 - Klaus Schulze

Punk section - SexPistols, Ramones, Stranglers, The Damned -- and many more... but the New Wave was just in germanation.....
