If folks with good intentions accidentally crucified the wrong man would that make a difference?
They would have a crucifixion. A crucifixion either is or ain't.
Does it absolutly have to be a certain guy? What's the difference?

Depends. The prisoner with Jesus who was released instead of crucified was named Barabbas, which means "Son of the Father". Wouldn't it be funny if Christianity is based upon some schmuck who was just pretending to be Jesus, so the real Jesus could escape and go make babies with Mary Magdelene!?

I'm not really sure what you're asking.
The people who crucified Jesus did not have good intentions. They didn't like being exposed as frauds and prideful men who didn't really love the Lord. Jesus was supposed to be crucified because He is the only acceptable sacrifice for all our sins. He is the only sinless man who ever lived.

Jesus was crucified this is true. It was done for the wrong reasons. They thought he was wrong in claiming to be the son of God. That's how they punished people back then. They also crucified common thieves.
