Can anyone recommend any old school hip hop groups?

I'm looking for music which is old school hip-hop a bit like beastie boys but more street (if you like) and less commercial. It doesn't necessarily have to have rapping or vocals in it.

Thanks in advance!

Update:

I'm looking for a more gritty sound less like De La Soul etc but not gangsta stuff. Tunes which evoke images of skateboarding and graffiti with some scratching and samples.
