Canada meddling in USA election. What should we do about it?
I understand Canada disapproving Fidel Castro, Kim Jong-il or Hugo Chavez, calling Russian or French elections questionable, but butting in American politics?

I think we should invade them, the way we did it in 1812.
This way we will inspire Canadian insurgency and we can turn Canada into another Alcaida training camp close to our borders.
Can you imagine how many birds we can kill?

I am Canadian and USA thinks they hold the holy grail and too sanctimonious about democracy. USA meddle more that any country's politics. Democracy in any country be it crooked, corrupt or a dictatorship, USA doesn't have the right to invade any country and meddle with their problems. Look what happened in the Philippines the people won and boot out dictator Marcos. So if I where you, do something about your own backyard. Canada is one of the most admire nations in the world. Europeans does not like Americans due to your President Bush way of trying to control the world. True, that USA is the most powerful nation in the whole world but that doesn't mean that USA can intervene in ones country. Let the people decide, Americans. I agree with Mike P!

USA is no different than the other countries you speak of. But I have to refute what you say, nonetheless. You claim that Canada disapproves of Fidel. In actuality, Canada has a good relationship with Cuba, much better than the US I must say. The thing is ... US interferes with the politics of every countries. Why should the US feel privileged to have an untainted election?

What exactly are they doing? You don't cite anything or refer to anything.
I'm not sure they really could do anything-- They don't get a vote. But their Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, has pretty good relationship with our country and the current administration, so I'd be surprised to hear of any meddling coming from the government.
---update---
Hmm . . . if you are refering to the Obama thing with NAFTA, I wouldn't exactly call that meddling. I'd call it one of two things:
1) Either the person from Canada is lying about the Obama campaign assuring them that their harsh talk on NAFTA was just "political positioning" or;
2) Obama is lying what he says "Nobody reached out to the Canadians to try to assure them of anything"
It seems to be a issue of people, one of whom happens to be Canadian. Seems a stretch to call that meddling by Canada--it might actually be true. And if it is not, then it is simply dishonesty by one person, not a whole country.
On an even higher level, Canada is not meddling in anything. NAFTA involves Canada just as much as it involves the USA or Mexico. NAFTA is an important issue to Canadians . . . meddling implies that it is none of their business. The position of the USA regarding free trade (and the positions of any potential future leaders) IS Canada's business.

Oh Kwitcherbellyakin! If it wasn't for Canada and NAFTA the price of gasoline at the pump would be around $15.00 a gallon. Imagine what that would do to the cost of food. Two thirds of our oil import comes from Canada. Lets not piss them off by going back on a deal. It wouldn't be pretty.

We don't care, Obama or Hillary
You screwed us on NAFTA, lets renegotiate
We only worry about which way the nuclear winds blow (not north I hope)
You can't invade, your record on that is not too hot
If you nuke Toronto, try and stay inside the GTA
Love Cuba too

Well to be fair, the USA meddles in the politics of just about every other nation on the planet, so I guess what's good for the goose should be good for the gander.

Hey, when an Obama aide tells Canada "don't listen to what Obama is spewing back in the US to get worker votes, we'll still keep things status quo. wink wink" I want to know about it.
