Hillary puts another nail in her own coffin?

Hillary has hinted at the possibility of a combined ticket with Obama at some point. How could Obama possibly respond to this except to deny unequivocally that he'd take the second spot? If he didn't, she'd become the person to vote for if you wanted a combo ticket. Now, if he nixes that idea and stays ambiguous (a special talent of his) about whether or not he'd pick her for VP, suddenly HE becomes the best hope for a combo ticket. Admittedly, he can't be so vehement that it looks like he's putting his own personal feelings ahead of the good of the party, but that shouldn't be hard for a seasoned orator.

You can't believe politicians man. She said that she's honored to be Obama opponent in the next she said **shame on him**. She said there's a possibility for them on the same ticket, but now she praised McCain. It's better to wait and see.

How is Hillary making vague references about a combined ticket with her and Obama putting a nail in her coffin? If anything, it is benefiting her.

By doing so, she is giving Democrats hope that she will include Obama in the Presidential race regardless of the outcome. That means that all those Democratic super delegates will not be turned off by her. She will also not alienate the millions that have voted or would have voted for Obama. It shows that she is not going to concede, but will alter the make up of her administration so that all Americans will feel that they are represented.

It also puts Obama in strange place. If he says that he would not do the same then he runs the risk of sounding stubborn and angry. He will turn off potential voters in the general elections who planned to vote for Hillary. He also appears to be a selfish politician that puts his ego before the will of the people.

I like this move by Hillary because it puts Obama in strange situation and forces him to have to make a decision and show the American people his inexperience.

It's the second time in two weeks that she's mentioned this and personally I smell a rat. Obama has stated that it's way to early to be talking about that yet Hillary keeps bringing it up. It could be a ploy to get those undecided voters to vote for her thinking she will bring Obama on board if she gets the nom.

She needs him way more than he would need her.

I thought she made a good point. Many others use the word 'change' often and yet in their political careers have done little if anything to actually precipitate any change. Americans want change not just for the sake of change, but change as a means of improvements to our system. Hillary, at least, has attempted to do this in her political career.

This back and forth mudslinging must to stop! Hillary & Barack need to make a deal now. She said she is willing to offer him the vice presidency. He'd be smart to take it, here's why: As the older & more experienced candidate, Hillary could be a good mentor to the younger Obama and in another 8 yrs he could be the next president. This would be a win-win situation for everyone. Instead of 4 or 8 yrs, we would have him more seasoned & experienced for 16 yrs! That's something I could live with & they should too.

Hillary needs Osama more than he needs her. With him as the VP it would shore up the ticket regarding the black vote. If she only ran for one term, he would be in position to succeed her.

Eventually one of them will need to concede....but right now, I think it will be Hillary Clinton who will take the lead, and be a strong President and make the right decisions for America - it's what America needs...I don't feel America can afford someone with little experience to lead it back to peace and prosperity right now...Obama's not ready for the job yet...

She knows that Obama helps her ticket. Obama adding Hillary on would do nothing but hurt his ticket. Republicans despise her and will never vote for any ticket with her on it.

They are fighting only over who will be on top of the ticket when the screwing begins ... of America, I mean.

Doesn't matter. They will still lose in the general. Sorry, if I should be, but they haven't a prayer ... literally.

I would not be happy with a ticket like Hillary/ obama. I do think it would be unstoppable. If obama wins the nominee, McCain will be president. obama cannot win even one single big delegate state and the republicans can easily defeat him that way.
