ideas for my own birthday???

ok, so i dont have MUCH money. Somewhere in california for a weekend or so. im turning 24 and last year i hoped someone to do something for my birthday but i ended up cleaning house all weekend. fun. so this year, same situation only i cant depend on friends/bf/or anyone else to do anything, so im doing for myself....well trying to anyway. i just want to get away for my birthday. not san diego cuz i can go there anytime. i was thinking san francisco but that can add up pretty quickly, maybe santa barbara? somewhere where theres lots of museums and such. or maybe a mexican cruise. i know there are some cruises, like my parents went on one and it was about $400-500.....so any ideas? its just me, so im pretty open to suggestions. thanks!
