Dodge Neon runs idles rough?
2002 dodge neon spits and sputter only when i turn the airconditioning on. It acts like it has a miss almost when the A/c is on. Any ideas? I check the oil and everything and its ok. The car has idled rough before at traffic lights and i either put it in neutral and it cleared it self or kicked the Ac on. Now my wife said when she was driving it made like it wanted to die for a second and the check engine light came on and the went off like 2 seconds later. Any ideas please
Oh and by the way the car has 55,000 miles on it. The car has been a great car and never had any problems at all. I am always up to date on maintenance and everything.

this car was recalled for electrical problems
take it to the Dodge place for the recalls

As observed above, initiate with the main ordinary. exchange the spark plugs and verify the ignition wires besides via fact the air filter out. additionally verify the situation of the motor mounts as they are notoriously soft on Neons (good for soaking up engine vibrations yet undesirable for toughness).

Sounds to me like you might have a bad wire or coil, since its only happening when its got a little bit more load on it!

neons are known to sound a bit "rough"...def not the most quiet motor out there....more than likely it is nothing to worry about.
