United White College Fund; would it cause cries of racism?

If someone were to start a United White College Fund and run commercials on television for the million of poor white kids, would there be backlash in the media with cries of racism?

I think it is possible for any person of any race to experience racism. Just because it hasnt been public that whites experience racism it has happened. And it still happens everyday. I experience it personally everyday. People that dont know me assume I am racist because Im white. They assume Im rich and have had everything handed to me. One time I was walking out of a gas station and was called a "white b*tch" for absolutely no reason. I have never met the three girls yelling that at me, I have no idea what I did wrong and honestly I think it was nothin more than the color of my skin. I think people need to open their eyes and realize that racism is not just whites against minorities. Racism can and has affected everyone. Some more harshly than others but it still happens and it still hurts. I hate that people think whites cannot be discriminated against. That thought alone is racist.

Of course there'd be an outcry by the black community! And do you know who'd be leading that parade? Al Sharpton. He is the most hippocritical, judgemental, and racist black person out there. It's pathetic how people let him get away for his behavior. People always try to be politically correct, especially when it comes to race. And as for a response for "carolina Boy" You're pathetic. These American soldiers are out there defending your freedom, and keeping families safe, and it's people like you with no brains that speak out of their *** that just make the proud Americans shake our head with disgust. Well if you don't like it here, leave. Simple as that.

i think it would. my family didn't have money to send me to college. I had to work my butt off in high school to pull a high GPA. and I was in about every club known to man. I applied for tons of scholarships(never saw one for white people though) I was able to get enough money to pay for most of college.

Some people assume if you're white, you have it made. Not true. I know minorities now that are getting the same kind of help with college that i did and don't have to work half as hard to get there. I guess they are the ones who really lose out. Busting my butt helped to develop my character. Getting something because of your skin color doesn't develop character, it develops dependency

There are poor white people too. If this was to be considered racist, something is wrong because this country is supposed to be founded on equality, right?

But I bet you didn't know that there are scholarships for those of the white race:

it wouldn't matter, if it's something you wish to see happen then see it done, how people feel about it is neither here nor there. what is and what is not racist will always change person to person so that being said i can guarantee you that someone will find it racist, quite simply you can't allow things like that to stop you. let them cry, let them accuse and let them march, in the end what can be done and what cannot be done boils down to who has more will power

I wouldn't cause me any concern. Or make me want to cry about it. Everybody needs help regardless of race, creed, color. I feel anyone who wants to better themselves should get a helping hand. : ) I dont see in racism in that!

I'm sorry to tell you, but Affirmative Action is popular for whites like it is for other racial groups. If you went to college most likely you got Affirmative Action.

Don't know...if the government actually helped Katrina victims instead of concentrating on this damn war that we can't win, would there be backlash in the media for that?
