The fool(foolish person) rejects the creators existance and chooses to make themself or an inanimate object their god.

I think it is TRUTH. All scripture is God breathed and is truth.

    (See 2 Timothy 3:16, and John 17:17)

And I would definately be foolish NOT to believe in the Lord. And I cannot imagine my life without Him. He makes sense!

Romans 1:20- also a good verse!

Atheists and pantheists are fools in the sight of omniscient God, regardless of their intellect.

Psalm 53 is almost an exact replica of this psalm. Also Psalm 14:1-3 is quoted (in effect, not verbatim) in Romans 3:10-12. Evidently the Holy Spirit considers it important to emphasize that those who seek to replace the God of creation with a humanistic or pantheistic philosophy--no matter how wise they profess themselves to be--are really fools in God's sight (Romans 1:21-23).

I like better Jesus' quote in the Gospel of Thomas:

    ---------------

    3. Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.

When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

    -----------------------------

For me I feel that people cannot know God without seeking the truth from many scriptures hailing from many cultures. One cannot have a rounded perception from one book. Yet read 10 books, and one's perception of the first book is magnified.

My perception is that there are too many people claiming to be Christians through stating a belief in an external God who forgives them of all sin; yet they do not seek the knowledge that is required to follow in Jesus' example.

All faith and no seeking knowledge of the truths makes for a person seeing yet not seeing; hearing yet not percieving; and doing yet not really understanding why.

So yes I think it is required to believe in hope over hopelessness in order to become spirtually alive; but it is not enough just to believe. One must espire to constantly seek truth as a catalyst to ascension/resurrection.

I believe that it says that the person out of ignorance does not have any faith in Jesus, therefore causing them to practice unrighteousness and immorality.

Yes, that's what the good book done said.

Basically what it says, but I don't think it speaks too highly of believers either. I remember there being a passage that says "there is none without sin."

There you go - this proves the bible false.

Unless of course you believe all atheists are stupid and evil, including scientists that are responsible for parts of the computer you're using now, and people who donate billions to charity.

We know why it's really there, of course - religions frequently vilify outsiders.

I think David and Solomon were thinking of atheists when they wrote that. It's in proverbs, too.

It means if we don't believe in God, there is nothing good in us. We are under His wrath.
