I live in Washington State, have been married 27 years and have 25 & 22 year old sons. I love to travel - especially tropical places, I enjoy hiking, boating, camping, gardening, partying & BBQ's w/ friends & family. I have been to Norway and go on Mission trips to Haiti every October w/ my church. I crochet and knit too. I am a Christian, a human being Christian, not a religious Christian. I try the best I can to please God and live right but make lots of mistakes along the way. I try to love others that I come in contact with unconditionally. I try to put principals before personalities. I enjoy all kinds of people and hearing other points of view. I think Yahoo answers is a great way to meet people & get different insight on any topic. The greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said,"I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father (God) but by me" God Bless you!
Can you help me remember the name of a 80s or 90s horror movie?
It was a dumb horror movie where this scary guy walks fine on one leg but drags his other leg behind him everywhere he goes? I hope someone knows what the heck I am talking about. Thanks, in advance, for trying to help me with this question.
3 AnswersMovies8 years agoHitler was a "self proclaimed" christian but not a true christian, do you agree?
Chris·tian (krschn) KEY
ADJECTIVE:
Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus's teachings.
Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
Showing a loving concern for others; humane.
NOUN:
One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.
Hitler did not live a life according to the teachings of Jesus. Especially the part that says to love others and do good to each other.
Everyone who is saying that Hitler was a Christian (in the true sense of the word) is absolutely off their rocker and have no common sense.
HITLER WAS NOT CHRISTLIKE!!!!!!
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoThis is serious and not meant for haters. Christians - would you sponsor a child in a 3rd world country.......?
if you KNEW that 95% of all sponsorship money taken in actually goes to the child? There is an organization that really does that. Check it out.

24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you sponsor a child in a 3rd world countrty?
If not, you should consider it. Sponsorship for $35 per month can save a starving child and provide him/her with food, clothes, education and a place to live. I wish all people would make this their new years resolution. Think about it. www.childcareworldwide.org
6 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoInstead of blaming God for all the bad stuff and suffering....................?
Don't you think we should be thanking Him for our many blessings which, I believe, out number the bad things and suffering? We sound like a bunch of wahhhh babies when it comes to God. A bunch of ungratful brats.
What do you think?
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIn the old testament people who died went to sheol........?
Does sheol still exist? Or do we go straight to heaven? I am confused about this.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI just watched a show on History channel about the bible?
and all the books that were left out. Has anyone read the Gnostic Gospels? I found the information on the show quite eye opening and interesting. Are there people out there called Gnostics? Just curious.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do you really love to do?
What really gets you "amped up"? No sexual answers please.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat are you doing to help others and make this world a better place?
I sponsor 2 children - Evans in Haiti and Ruth in Uganda. I also recycle and donate clothing and blankets etc. to the street ministry at our church.
Everyone can sponsor a child for only $35.00 per month. I know an organization that only uses 5% for administrative costs so 95% of $35.00 goes straight to the child for food, shelter, clothing, school uniform and most importantly an education. www.childcareworldwide.org

29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you ever get freaked out?
when you really think about that we are on a big spinning ball suspended in the middle of space? I think about that quite often. What makes it stay there besides, of course, gravity? what/who created gravity? What's beyond what we can see with a telescope. I mean, we live our lives day after day assuming that this earth will remain faithful to us with sunrises every morning and sunsets every evening. So many people just take this safe beautiful earth for granted. If it were'nt for God I think the earth would have taken a nose dive many years ago.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do you think about this scripture?
"The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good." - Psalms 14:1
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHave you ever heard of the Oddfellows temple?

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoThis doesn't have anything to do with religion but it'll be funny?
What is the strangest/funniest name of a person you have ever heard.
Mine are:

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoes it grieve your spirit to see ozzy osborne wear a cross?
since he is the self-proclaimed "prince of darkness"?
Whenever I see him & his wife wearing a cross it makes me feel sick inside. That they would take that beautiful holy symbol and use it as a joke. What blashphemy. Just an observation. What do you think?
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow do you think Jesus feels about the self-righetous bickering and judging?
that goes on here?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you think you are righteous?
27 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you hate certain smells? I can't stand the smell of lavendar (essential oils).?
It makes me angry for some reason. Also it makes me feel like I am suffocating. Anyone else react to smells in this way? On the other hand, when I smell orange or lemon (essential oils) it makes me relaxed and happy.
18 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoPraying out loud in front of people?
do you have a hard time praying in front of other people? I sure do! I don't know if it is just anxiety or if it is pride. I feel like I don't sound as eloquent as others who pray. I feel like my prayers sound stupid. Does anyone else struggle with this.
Please, no mean comments or remarks. This is serious.
