    No.

In fact I have used this movie as a reference in a terrorism survival class I taught. I told the students to watch the movie and consider it as the world from the viewpoint of a terrorist.

The same rationalizations made in the movie as justifications for the protagonist are identical to the rationalizations used by people such as Timothy McVeigh, Theodore Kaczynski, and Eric Rudolph.

Organizations that share the rationalizations expressed in the movie include:

    The 'Army of God.'

    Earth Liberation Front

    Symbionese Liberation Army

    FALN

The biggest thing to learn from that movie is that the 'enemies' in that movie are how an extremist depicts anybody who disagrees with them.

    Yes.. to some degree.

But I think Britain has a lead on us there. They have more and more cameras and Big Brother acts than the US so far.

    We were attacked by Muslims.

There population is filling up with them.

I think a good way to look at it is, if the Middle East scenario was in Latin America, we would have gotten a lot more extreme laws than we have right now.

If those who are truly powerful want to scare us into something like Vendetta, I suggest they put an enemy closer to home.

Source(s): My answer suggests I'm for a totalitarian state. I'm not, but I think it will be interesting to see what fears are conjured up in the future.
