What kind of dog is on this movie?

I watched the movie Man's Best Friend, the other day, and loved the Max, the dog. But what kind of dog is he? He looks like a cross between a Rottweiler and a St. Bernard or Newfoundland.

He was a Tibetan Mastiff, I loved that movie, especially the ending, ;0), I remember watching it in the movie theater when it came out. When I saw the ending, I expected there to be a Man's Best Friend 2.

Here is information on the Tibetan Mastiff.

Milo is a Jack Russell terrier. The same style of dog used to play on Frasier ( I have no idea if he is still on that show). Lovely wise dogs, huh? I realize that they have a number of vigour. High renovation dogs.
