Progesterone side effects v/s pregnancy symptoms?
I know that no one is going to "know" the answer to this, but I would like to hear from anyone who went, or is going through this.
I am currently taking Progesterone suppositories from 3DPO until 16DPO each cycle. This is my second cycle taking them and I am now 9DPO, and having some side effects that I didn't have last month. I started cramping about 7DPO, having some occasional sharp twinges in my lower abdomen and groin. I have also been having hot flashes at night. Just today, I had a couple of minutes of nausea, nothing much, and my breasts are starting to hurt just a little on the sides under my arms.
I'm so frustrated! I can't tell if these feelings are due to possible early pregnancy signs, or just the Progesterone playing tricks on me (how cruel!)
Anyway, did anyone take Progesterone and get pregnant, and happen to remember any specific symptoms that stood out? I'm a sucker for success stories, so I guess that's really what I'm wanting. I'm trying to endure the 2WW!
Oh.......did I mention that I am incredibly irritable right now, like much more than normal PMS. If any of you follow my answers, you'll notice that they're meaner lately. =~)

As you know, progesterone can mimic pg symptoms, and of course pg symptoms can be all over the place. However, I will say that the times I've been pg (2 chemicals and one successful pg), on at least 1 or 2 of those occasions felt a weird sort of cramping/stabbing feeling, different than I've felt when it was a bfn. Now, were they in my head? Who knows. But they seemed very different. So that's promising for you, at any rate. GL!

The only side effects that I had when on the progesterone suppositories was cramping, bloating and gas. They can slow down digestion which contributes to the gas pains and just feeling kind of blah. There was also the "mess factor" - I felt like I needed to invest in stock for panty shields!
Try to stay positive - sore breasts and nausea were my early pregnancy symptoms . . .
Good luck!

Hey there Heather I do have a story for you. So a friend of mine was having a few prego symptoms right. They were not that much though, but she had said that she kept feeling this pain under her arm by her breast and that she had never felt that before. She did have sore boobs in the past but never under the arm. So here is the good part. She actually starts her period and is on it for about 5 days so she thinks that she is not prego. Well 2 weeks later the pain under the arm gets alittle worse and she goes to the doc and he gives her a blood test. The results were to take 1-2 days. So the doc orders a ultrasound that same day and low and behold there is her baby. So she had her period not really to many symptoms but she said the one thing that was consistent was the pain under her arm. So when I heard you mention that I had to tell you this story. Good Luck I so hope that you get your baby soon.
