Will my laptop accept a wireless G or maybe even N card?

I have a ibm thinkpad T40 1.5Ghz, 1 gig ram with XP professional. It currently has Intel Pro Wireless 3B mini PCI adapter. Is there a wireless G card that will work. I read online that the thinkpad T40 wont accept certain wireless cards with out software or hardware modifications? Any suggestions?

It should take all G's without mods.

If it doesn't, then I think your model is mislabeled... o.O

maximum community taking part in cards are built onto the motherboard and could't be extremely replaced. it can be a lot extra much less high priced to get a instant N/USB adapter and use it. in case you have the Centrino processor, you may could replace it to get a diverse style.
