Trip to an Amusement park at 7-8 weeks pregnant?

ok well I live in hawaii and have a family trip planned to Disneyland.......I was actually trying not to get prego this month because of the trip but for the first time I had an irregular AF and my dr. told me I had a cyst that popped. So my body got thown off.....I am happy I am pregnant because this will be my first child but I am also very nervous because I had a miscarriage in Oct.

I was talking to my husband and he thinks I can get on rides since that embryo is still very small......So I am being overly cautious because of my past experiences- is my husband right?.......I am going to go see my Dr on the 19th (the day before I leave to my trip) for my first prenatal appt. so I will definantely ask her but I would like to get feedback as well and please share your experiences

Update:

Thanks everyone I think I got my answer and I am pretty sure its what my Dr. will tell me too......I guess I will just be hanging out with my 4 and 5 year old niece and nephew......I will be the designated one to watch then when the rest of the adults go on rides.......and I am ok with that we are all making the trip for the kids anyway......since they are the only grandchildren on my husbands side right now......

absolutely not! yes the embryo is very small still but you wouldn't bring a newborn on a ride...it's the same thing...your baby is still living and is affected by everything you do. Zero gravity and jerks and spins from rides can really do some brain damage, even if it is still small. Especially since you have had a miscarriage just a little while ago i'd be extra cautious. Amusement parks can be fun just walking around and watching the shows. Congrats! For an anniversary present for my husband I bought us year passes to universal studios in orlando and a week later we found out we were pregnant! Talk about bad planning! but we still go and have an awesome time even though we can't ride anything. Just enjoy being with your husband and have fun talking about your baby to be. :)

    Amusement Park Rides During Pregnancy

You're already having the ride of your life (it's called pregnancy) — but if that's not enough to satisfy your sense of adventure, here's the scoop on the amusement park variety. There's no need to skip your day at the park (or at the county fair), but you might want to consider keeping it more chill, less thrill. Even early in pregnancy, moms-to-be need to exercise a bit of discretion when it comes to rides. Which means that instead of hopping on those knuckle-whitening, gravity-defying rides that send you zero to 60 in three and a half seconds, you'd be smart to stay in the slow lane (think Dumbo, not Death Mountain). Or opt for spending more time trying your luck in the arcade (that'll get you out of the hot sun) or game booths (you may come home with a stuffed giraffe for the baby's room!).

The bottom line is that you should pay attention to the park's warning signs on thrill rides, but when in doubt about any ride it's best to play it safe and sit it out. There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the rides again next year (you'll just need a volunteer to mind the baby for you!) and over and over again a couple years from now with your child. Besides, isn't pregnancy action-packed enough on its own?

By the way, if you already went for a spin on the Corkscrew Coaster, there's no reason to panic — but mention it to your practitioner to be perfectly safe. It's always a good idea to keep him or her "up to speed" on what you've been doing

The embryo may be small, but as you well know, the risk of miscarriage the first trimester is higher than the rest of the pregnancy. The embryo may detatch, and you wouldn't want that. Go do Disney, enjoy the parades and shows, and plan another trip with your baby in a few years.

    Have fun.

(The rides have warnings for expectant mothers).

Nope. No rides for you. If they say anything about pregnant women you can't ride it. Every ride at Disneyland has signs outside of the rides. More than likely you won't be able to ride any of them.

Go onto Disneyland's website and you can look up the rides. They will tell you whether or not expectant mothers are allowed to ride.

Congrats. Just look at it this way...the next time you come to Disneyland you'll be coming with your child!!!

it fairly is secure to force in case you place on a seatbelt- the familiar practitioner assist you comprehend the place to placed the belt. attempt to cut back your sunlight exposure.the optimal possibility would be dehydration and sunburn can try this, whether you commonly tan, your physique chemistry is a sprint distinctive and you may save it to a minimum. placed on sunscreen, save your abdomen lined, and perhaps hire an umbrella ti take a seat below. be careful on the stadium!!! i could be afraid that at 7 months you may holiday. this is a very clumsy time of being pregnant, and there are not often handrails to hold onto at stadiums (stairs). Ask the rfile too before you pass.

I would definitely skip the rides. Why risk it? Especially since you have already had a miscarriage. There are other things for you to do at the park. Also the rides might make you sick since you'll probably be feeling queasy.

Dont risk it! That one day of fun could have an affect on you for the rest of your life! Go enjoy those rides after your child is born!

If you've already had a miscarriage, I wouldn't even chance going on a ride. I would be too paranoid. I highly doubt your doctor is going to ok it.

Sorry, but I think you're going to have to go on calmer places in California

    Good luck!

Abolutely not. Double check with your doctor, because none of us are licensed OB-GYNs.....however those rides can be jerky and you risk separating your embryo and placenta from the uterine wall. I was in a MINOR car accident and had to go to the hospital just to check because any impact or sudden jerking like that puts your baby at risk.

i would not take a risk by going on rides. Its definitely not safe during pregnancy, doesn't matter at which stage of pregnancy u r. even the rides mention that pregnant women can't be on the rides.
