What TV Show (current or no longer on the air) best describes the Religion & Spirituality forum?

If you were to pick one TV show that best represents the Regulars and what goes on over at the Religion and Spirituality forum, what show would that be.(tIt does not have to be a current TV show, it can be something that is no longer on the air)

Who would be some of the characters on that TV show?

    Cheers.

We'd have the regulars. the semi-regulars. and the randoms.

xtians are far too delusional to know they're dealing with mythology ripped off from Egyptian mythology. xitans are way too simple in the head to know the difference between religion and spirituality. heck the other day I ran into a question where one of them noobs claimed that xtianity had nothing to do with religion. Maybe they should just make a section for cretinity and we could shove them all down there? Y!A needs to develop a system whereby you try to ask a stupid question where it doesn't belong (ie all the idiot fangirls and their twilight crap on here) and it automatically gets redirected and posted where it belongs, television or cretinity. Yeah the Cretinity category REALLY needs to be implemented and it needs to suck all the inappropriate questions and redirect them there. Kinda like the 'fruits & nuts' assortment for Y!A. The equivalent of eBay's 'everything else".

Saving Grace, a fairly new show where she is a rebel to the core. The angel says beleive in God and she thinks it is all BS and says so upfront to this angel. She constant judgement like many of who have formed this family on R&S. Sometimes she is rude sometimes nice and she tells the angel, "if you want to stay you need to shut up and order the pizza, you can drink what you want I am having a beer" It is a pretty wide open show and the "relgious" are not recommmened to watch.

Phil Donahue Show because he tackled tough subjects that was meant to enlighten or expose us to the truth.

His show was not a sensationalism, like say Jerry Springer.

Oprah does the same thing but she does not have callers contributing to the discussion.

I would say the wonderfully funny and under appreciated sitcom of the late 70's early 80's "Soap".

I see all sorts of people here that remind me so much of that show.

I think a character in a comedy should not know they're in a comedy - Steve Carell.

    the odd couple

some of us are quite slovenly, cranky and cumudgeonly... others are anal neat freaks who like to leave (scripture based) notes on the fridge and spoil everyones fun by vacuuming during the big game.

They share the same apartment, and their different lifestyles inevitably lead to some conflicts and laughs.

The Twilight Zone: serious and sometimes scary social commentary draped in entertainment. Lots of stars, but not all on at one time.

Seinfeld. Sometimes it is so random it makes no sense but it's almost always hilarious with just a touch of rudeness and a heaping dose of sarcasm.

The Odd Couple. And Welcome Back, Kotter for all of those who have had accounts deleted and resurrected them again.

As for BBC shows, Fawlty Towers, because everything is a drama and everyone is nuts and it makes for DANG funny viewing!

South Park is a perfect show to describe this forum. South Park is ****** up and funny, and so is R&S.
