A good pointer I have learned over the years, is to buy your garden materials during the winter months, as they push the prices up during the high demand period.( from Easter, through to October)
I have just bought some decking, and have paid almost half of the price it was advertised at, during the Summer.

Have a look on your local Freecycle group. You can often find hardcore being given away on there the only problem you may have is how to get it to your house.

you need course sand, and call 1800 245 pave. thats pavestone co. phone number they can tell you the nearest dealer.
