excel 2007 ! on icon?

I have a excel file with a yellow ! on the icon. the only difference is, it has macros enabled. but even after disableing macros the yellow ! is still there. anyone know what this is.

    That is what macro-enabled file icons look like (the yellow signifies caution). Since you removed the macros, all you need to do is save it as a regular Excel file.

    Go to the Office Button and choose Save As. Choose the Excel Workbook choice at the very top of the list. That will save the file as a .xlsx file without the yellow in the icon.

    If you didn't actually remove the macros, then saving it as a regular Excel file will strip them out.
