Should Bafana Bafana be withdrawn from the World Cup in 2010?

Many bloggers seem to think that the South African football squad should be withdrawn from the competition, because of their poor performances over the past few years. What is your take on this issue?

I do not think so Bafana should withdraw. We all know they are pathetic however, let's give them a chance. Who knows, maybe they surprise us all and go through to the second round. I remember the first African cup of nation (think it was in 1996) and I was happy for them when they won it. It is such a huge opportunity for South Africa as a country and we should be taking advantage of the event.

Ag man, the host nation is in the cup. SA will rise to the occasion. On this basis England should have been withdrawn years ago and Denmark only qualified for the European Champs that they won because Yugloslavia were disqualified in 1991.

    VIVA BAFANA!

Bafana Bafana has two years more before the world cup .I would give them a chance . It is not only about the team but there are a few dedicated players and for their sake lets give them the chance to play in the world cup.

Yea they should be gone never to play in international game it is an embarrassment to me living here in Spain hearing all the bullshit. When was the last time that they brought the world cup home, and how much muti did they through on the field to bring the cup back

The host country automatically gets to play (unfortunately)

I do not think we should worry too much or to worry is premature at this stage. We have bets going around our town if the WC is going to take place or not in south africa

Nah, leave them in. They will most likely be the first team kicked out anyway so it doesn't really matter. They'll be gone soon.
