5 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoCan I convert my International (Korea Issued) Driver's License into a South African Driver's License?
I am a South African citizen and obtained a Korean Driver's License in Korea while staying here. If I get my license internationally translated by the Korean Traffic Department, will I be able to convert it into a S.A. Driver's License when I go back home? Or do I need to do it all over again?

4 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoWhat does one do in Namaqualand?
I decided to go back to South Africa next year. I can't get the job in Pretoria anymore, so I've opted for a job in Namaqualand as a teacher to get the freedom, space and time to further my studies. I need to get my B.Ed and I can't do that teaching in the city. Any ideas on what I can do besides teaching and studying there?
4 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoWhat's the difference between the various kinds of soju in Korea?
I know that in every region a different kind of soju is made and sold. I, however, can't taste the difference. So, what is the difference? Or is my palate too screwed up from drinking beer to even taste the difference?
3 AnswersKorea1 decade agoSouth African Theme Day: Good or Bad?
Ferrari man came up with the idea of a theme day as far as I could figure. Wasn't this brilliant? This section came from 70 questions to 112 in one day! If we keep this up, we might be recognized by Yahoo and get our flag up! But then again, do we really want a lot of questions and no real answers? I remember when we had fewer question and a lot more debate.
12 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoHow do you give thanks to a truly great father on Father's Day?
My father is truly the greatest. He has been there for me through all my trials and tribulations. He was the principal at the school I attended and was a father to many others as well because of that. In fact, he was a father to their fathers as well. When he retired, he started working for the community. From the Masakhane project to recent community projects I don't even know about. He was and still is a father to the community. He fought for what was right when everything was wrong in South Africa. And when everything seemed right with South Africa, he stood up and fought for things he knew weren't. He cares for family, both his and my mom's as if they were his own sisters and brothers. When my grandma died (my mom's mom), he was given the flower to put on the grave as SON, when he was just a son-in-law. There were 12 other blood siblings that didn't get that special privilege. How do you thank someone like that on Father's Day?

7 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoWhat was the defining moment in your life that made you choose the type of music you liked?
I like the 80's music, because of one dude that played "Only Shooting Love" http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=X1B_rLIUeWI on his stereo at a resort where I vacationed when I was young. I also love electronic, because of a guy that played me "Strangelove" http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=x-onhFQ8HRI on his stereo when we ditched school one day. I also started liking rap after I saw the movie Beat Street and heard this song, http://kr.youtube.com/watch?v=rhkOPNRV8Pk How about you? What moment made you realize that this was the music you'd be listening to for the rest of your life. No matter what!
9 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoShould I leave Korea right now?
I need urgent help from all the foreign English teachers on here. I have been offered a good job at UNISA in Pretoria, South Africa just today. I've been in Korea for 7 years now and want to leave at the end of my contract (2008/02/28), so I can start over in South Africa. Only problem now is that the school will not let me leave in such short notice. Also. I have some bad experiences in Pretoria. Like getting my freekin' ankle cut off from some a$$ that robbed me. I NEED HELP IN MAKING A DECISION. Do I screw the school here in Korea or do I finish honorably and take my chances back in South Africa with no job? Well, not NO JOB, but no luxury! Also, I may be given some kind of head position at my school next year. I have been there 4 years and know more than my supervisor! I mean on getting the job done. I'm really passionate about teaching here and this is killing me inside.

10 AnswersSouth Africa1 decade agoDoes anyone have any idea on what the Provident Fund is up to in South Africa?
I just got a call from the Provident Fund of a company I worked for almost 15 years ago. They didn't give any details over the phone, but said I needed to fill in some forms that they'll mail me and I gotta mail it back. Sounded serious. I already got some money from this company back then. Interestingly enough, I just read something about the Provident Fund two days ago on the internet, but can't find the article now. Any ideas what I'm supposed to fill in? Or why? I haven't had any contact with these people since I left 15 years ago. I now live in Korea.
