What's the difference between the various kinds of soju in Korea?

I know that in every region a different kind of soju is made and sold. I, however, can't taste the difference. So, what is the difference? Or is my palate too screwed up from drinking beer to even taste the difference?

I lived there ten years and drank all of the sojus and I didn't really detect any noticable difference in any of them.

However, I have drunk Baem-sul (snake soju), which was a little different and there are also a few flavoured sojus even I'm not mistaken.

Hahah...you know what. I wrote a soju song about 5 years ago in Korea. Here it is:

  • Depends if they use potatoes, rice, wheat, barley etc...But I have a hard time telling the difference too...must be the beer as well
