Does the 2002 Ford Taurus have a heater core valve switch?
Our heater doesn't work after hitting a pothole and having to repair the engine coolant system. After repairing the engine coolant system, we got no heat. Some people suggested that the heater core valve switch may be set to "cold". However, I've researched a little and one source says the Taurus doesn't have such a switch. Do you know better than I?
1 AnswerFord9 years agoWhy does my 2002 Ford Taurus heater not work?
So our heater stopped working on our car last year. The fans all work, just no warm air blows in the car, whereas before it would get quite hot. We hit a bump in the road last year and had to repair the engine coolant system. Afterwards the heater still didn't work. Later, the engine coolant container was leaking and had to replace that too. The mechanic said the heater would work after the coolant container was fixed. So we had it fixed the other day and the heater still doesn't work.
Anybody have any clues on this issue? Thanks in advance.
4 AnswersFord9 years agoWhy does the concentration of both glucose and sucrose decrease in this bag?
Hi this is a biology question my wife doesn't understand:
A 2% glucose and 3% sucrose solution is added to a bag made from a membrane that is permeable only to water and glucose. The bag was then placed in a beaker of water containing a 1% glucose and 1% sucrose solution. What would happen to the concentration levels of sucrose and glucose inside the bag after one hour? (My wife thinks that sucrose is still going out of the bag somehow. I don't think so though, but I'm not a bio expert. I theorize that with more "elbow room" after the glucose has diffused evenly, the sucrose has also spread out in the bag and thus diffused).

2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoUbuntu How to Log in to Chat Accounts (like msn)?
Hi there. Just installed Ubuntu and love it. On the top right I see "Chat Accounts". I put in my msn info. But how do you log in? When I put the cursor up in the top right corner and select this Chat Accounts icon, in the menu I see "Available, away, busy, invisible" but they darkened out so I can't select them. So does anyone know how to log in?
1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoIs the AMD Sempron 3000+ a dual core processor?
I'm not sure what this cpu is. The AMD page says it's 64bit enabled and there's a driver installed on this computer, Athlon 64 processor driver...that seems to suggest dual core, but I imagine I'm mistaken. Does anyone know for certain.
thanks

3 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoWhat's wrong with my car?
Hi there! My car has been perfectly excellent without problems and well maintained. Suddenly we hop in the car at 7/11 to start it up and the electrical system has gone wonky!! All we here is clicking, clicking inside the car and out beside the battery, I think. Even when we turn off the car and remove the keys, there's still a crazy clicking sound going on inside the car. Any clue what this is and the approximate cost of repair? Thanks a million!

4 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoAre my skates too sharp?
OK....this may sound strange. But I've been skating every day for about 3 weeks, teaching my kids. I'm no pro, though I learned a lot had fun and thought I'd better sharpen skates. This is what happened. All of a sudden now, while skating straight, the skates suddenly catch and slow down at unpredictable rates. So much so, that I suddenly feel thrown forward in this skates and am losing balance. Can I dullen these skates any way? It's ridiculous. I wish I never had them done. When I started skating a 3 weeks ago, I sharped them and noticed nothing unusual at all!
5 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoHow to fix a deflating tire on a ford taurus 2002?
Hi our tire keeps deflating on our car. So we keep refilling it. The mechanic informed us there isn't a tube on the inside. So how are we supposed to fix it? He said something like he could tighten the bolts. Any ideas here? The tire is official ford taurus 2002 tire, which i'm referring to.
Thanks for your thoughts.
6 AnswersFord1 decade agoHow do I get more ankle support in my ice skates?
My boys and I are just learning to skate. All three of us have too much space in the ankle region of our skates. I think we have weak ankles and I've sprained mine about ten times or more. I was going to start wrapping the ankle region with a tensor bandage. I wrapped it with extra socks last time and that seemed to help. I heard some people tape. Do you tape before you put on the skate or after? Any tips here? We're having a lot of fun so far.
7 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoDo you objects of different density displace more water when set into a tub of water?
I'm studying the famous Eureka moment by Archmides but the explanation I heard wasn't clear. Did the crown of pure gold displace more water than the crown of mixed gold and inferior metals?
Lastly...in some ways this hard to get my head around. Objects of equal volume, the way that I see it, ought to displace the exact same amount of water, unless the objects had some kind of semi permeable membrane. Can anyone help me understand this a bit better?
6 AnswersPhysics1 decade agoHow fast are webservers? Download bandwidth.?
The reason I ask is that I found the nintendo wii website was streaming a a very large screen video. I'm guessing their server must be very fast. My own server downloads at 1 megabyte a second but it isn't fast enough to stream a comparable video. So am wondering how fast does a server need to be, and which are the fastest servers?

3 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhat's happening to my legs?? (Jogging question)?
I've been working really hard to get fit and I've shed a lot of fat off my body. I've worked up to a 50 min jog every second day..with a break on weekends usually. However, to do a little more I was skipping bout 500 times every other day and doing some intense yoga. Is this too much in your opinion? My legs felt so drained I couldn't go out for 3 days. I thought I'd be super healthy by now. My age is 39 so I'm worried about muscle falling off my body. Any tips? Am I doing too much? I eat pretty healthy food regularly.
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoHow likely is that we're near the end of the economic downturn?
I don't think we are near the end and so I don't wanna buy a house now in Canada then lose money on it. Prices haven't really come down that much either.
