Does the 2002 Ford Taurus have a heater core valve switch?

Our heater doesn't work after hitting a pothole and having to repair the engine coolant system. After repairing the engine coolant system, we got no heat. Some people suggested that the heater core valve switch may be set to "cold". However, I've researched a little and one source says the Taurus doesn't have such a switch. Do you know better than I?

it should have a blend door.at an idle check to see that both heater hoses are warm.if not you most likely need a heater core.if they are warm, the blend door is not working right.it could also be airlocked if that helps.
