Which driver do I use 32bit or 64bit?

Just installing some audio equipment. I'm on Win 7 64, but the program I use is 32 bit I believe. So which device driver should I install for it? 32 or 64?

thanks

    Here's how the order works:

Hardware <-> Driver (OS Kernel) <-> Operating System APIs (userland) <-> Applications

So the driver sits between the hardware and the OS stuff. The application never sees it. If you have a 64-bit OS, you need the 64-bit driver regardless of the program you're using. The OS APIs (which are available in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors) will take care of talking to the drivers.

The driver's bit size has absolutely nothing to do with other software you use on your computer. If your OS is 32 bit, you use 32 bit drivers. If your OS is 64 bit, you use 64 bit drivers.

You always install the driver that matches the version of your operating system
