Changed router channel now wireless network disappeared!?

I had a laptop which kept dropping the wireless network for some reason. So I read to change the channel on the router. Now all of a sudden, none of my computer can detect the wireless signal. Any ideas here?

Update:

I haven't any channel configure button for any of our network adapters on all computers. Very strange to me.

Update 2:

Problem solved! I just restarted the router again. This time I pulled the actual cable out and waited around 20 seconds. The first time I just hit the switch and waited 15 seconds or so....which is usually enough. But guess not this time!

I think you have to change the channel on the computers also, or perhaps select an adapter option that scans all channels.

Since I don't have wireless adapter on this machine, I can't go into the connection settings (I expect the place is in the Configure button next to the network adapter name, probably on the Advanced tab) to help you further.

    Hope that helps.

you have got a 'stable sign' and nonetheless have quite some interference. in case you're, say, on the two.4 GHz selection, you may get interference from different sources like say, a neighbor's microwave, a cordless telephone...and which could clarify why for quarter-hour your connection is crap, then unexpectedly comes returned. somebody replaced into speaking on the telephone for quarter-hour, or microwaving a meal, etc. in case you want to attempt to try this, examine into changing the channel on your instantaneous router. (a million, 6, and 11 are the non-interfering channels). If changing your channels around would not help, and you have a 5 GHz in a position laptop, you ought to look into a twin-band 802.11n router and use a 5 GHz channel for it. If interference is your situation, that'll almost definitely lick it. (in case you may get the Airport convey, this is US $ninety 9 here and does twin band. yet your laptop will would desire to help it too!)
