Can I convert my International (Korea Issued) Driver's License into a South African Driver's License?

I am a South African citizen and obtained a Korean Driver's License in Korea while staying here. If I get my license internationally translated by the Korean Traffic Department, will I be able to convert it into a S.A. Driver's License when I go back home? Or do I need to do it all over again?

Immigrants to South Africa require the national and international driver's licences, to drive a car legally. We however recommend that you apply for a South African driver's licence at the local authorities. At some offices, a translation of your driver's licence is required. In addition to this, you will have to complete an eye-test after which there is a waiting period of approximately three months before the driver's licence is available.

    Check with these ous:

    Or contact the AA:

You have to retake or do the South African test to be valid.

If you are traveling as a tourist then you may apply for an International license in your country and drive with it in South Africa while you have the Korean license with you too.
