I have a question for the R/S regulars regarding e-mails.?

Would you ever send an e-mail and then disallow e-mails so the person is unable to respond.?

I am not a coward so I would never do that.

Since I have been cast under your spell,I am completely out of control, ......I HAVEN'T ASK ENOUGH CONTROVERSIAL

?'S (whoops gotta use small letters) don't want to piss anybody off. lol but I'll keep working at it. I have noticed in the short time I have been looking at peoples answers to questions, for some odd reason they give some pretty adolescent answers.

To be honest w/you I would welcome "ANY" E-mails that's one reason I'm on here, I want to learn about people.

The saying that people are people no matter where they're from is incorrect.

Don't try to e-mail me I'm going to go block you from my e-mail right now....

Usually when I send an email, either include my email address, or keep it open for email for a couple of days so that they can respond.

Actually I usually leave it open for a while, I only block it when I start getting hate mail, or if I am playing a roaming game. Then I always block it because, I will for sure get nasty grams.

I got one once from a silly comment I made in Pets like 3 months earlier. Usually my hate mails come from extremely immature teenagers.

I disallow e-mails, but I also do not e-mail others. I just don't think it is a necessary part of the forum and I don't really want to be bogged down with hate e-mails or e-mails from "friends".

    I'll answer in an E-mail.

    LOL

No. But then I have E-mail blocked to everyone. I get enough spam already. If I really wanted to have an offline discussion then I would tell the person my E-mail address so they could respond.

I prefer to hear the response if I'm actually going to take the time to send an email. I don't, however, allow IMs. But that's because there are times I'm not on my home computer and it wouldn't do any good for someone to IM me anyway.

But if I find something important enough to say that I've taken the time to write an email, you'd be damned sure that I'll allow for a response.

  • That is simply not cool. if such a person sent me an email, and I knew they didn't allow responses, I'd delete the email before I read it.

I have noticed that about certain people here. Especially the ones who have more extreme views on things.

Personally, I always welcome intelligent email conversations.

Otherwise the "email disallower" is only interested in assaulting someone with their views. I find that practice rather abusive. I won't entertain anything such person says in an email. It gets deleted immediately.

peace regards and respects to you :)

Nope. My e-mail is open for anyone who wishes to send me a note. Only a sneaky person up to no good would zip off e-mails (bet they aren't nice) then allow no response. To me this says much about the character of the member.

No; if we were emailing and the person started threatening, I'd end the conversation, but that's not what you're talking about, i'm sure.

Some people seem to think blocking a reply is the same thing as them getting in the last word and winning--how sad, really.

No. I wouldn't disallow e-mail period. I'm willing to deal with the occasional hate mail if it means I can have private conversations with the people on here.

Mine's open, but I don't get any emails at all ... not even the ones saying I have best answer. I've even tried emailing myself from another nick and it doesn't work.

I just tell peeps to send me an IM and I'll get it, even if I'm not online. But no, I'd never email someone and then not be open to getting a reply.
