Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Bizzare question about Yahoo Answers itself; see details!?

When you go into "Society and Culture" the list of sub-classes starts with "Community Service":

But, if you Click on ANY sub-class within "society and Culture",(such as "Etiquette") and click on a question, (as if you were contemplating answering it) when the choices under "Society and Culture" reappear at the side, they now start with "Bull Fighting"!

When you click on "bull Fighting" there is never any questions there. It seems this procedure is the only way to get to this sub-class; you can't directly go to it.

Note; this has been repeatible over several weeks, so it's probably not a temporary "glitch" in YA.

Is this just my computer is messed up, or have other people observed this same phenominon?

The original Yahoo Answers served the entire world (not just the US). Many other countries out there consider bullfighting interesting, sadly. So they made it a category.

Now, those countries have their OWN Yahoo Answers sites so the US category is 'closed' to new questions, but open to show Top Answerers. People have asked that the YA team delete it completely, but so far, no luck.

Bullfighting is not supposed to be available in the US. If you go to the Australia site you will find it always as the first entry in Society & Culture. There just seems to be a problem in the way Yahoo handles the categories at the left and the ones at the right. I see the same thing.

The glitch has always been there. The category used to be active, but they shut it down. You can no longer post questions there, only view the resolved ones.

I suppose they keep it there to honor the "top answerers" for when it was around, and so you can read the archived questions there.

There's plenty of glitches around here. For instance, if you are in the US Yahoo Answers, check this one out. If you click on "JJ Smith", the top answerer for this category, you will discover that he "doesn't exist"! Yet, he remains in that spot indefinitely.
