What is the average age South African women have their first child?

Well in my mothers day most woman had children in there early 20's but now it seems that woman are waiting longer and having children in their 30's and now even 40's.

The older you are the harder it is to conceive a child.

I'd like to be young with my children and I think a sensible for myself would be 26, but everyone is different.

Yes this seems to be the current trend. I wanted to have my family born before I was 30 years old, and just made it. I liked the fact that in my 40's, which sounds old but were the best years of my life, my children where teenagers and young adults. I was young enough to enjoy them.

Now, the girls seem to be waiting until late 30's even early 40's. My one daughter is 35 and no grandchild yet from her.

in all hazard between 17-30 some thing. Im 15 and pregnant and everywhere i pass i'm getting grimy seems. each and all the pregnant women human beings ive considered are 25 and up. And each and all the girls i comprehend that have had young infants are 17 and up.

The best age for a woman to have children is in her twenties, and I think that the professional woman of this decade had their children then, but the next decade of woman are delaying it, therefore having children at much older age...ie late thirties...

I'll just go on the average of everyone I know. I'm 30 and most of my friends start at 30+.

Well I can't speak for other women, but I,m already in my thirties and will only have children when I find the right partner to help me bring them up the best way we can.

I suppose at 29, it would be safe to say that in my case, it will be 'somewhere' in my 30's (hopefully). I love kids, and at some crazy point in my life, I wanted 8. Reality has since set in. I will just let time tell.

As a rule married women of European descent(Whites) have the first child in their mid-twenties, however, the majority of non-Caucasian women have their first baby before the age of twenty.

30 - 45 years, I also had my son quite late in my life.
