Has anyone heard anything about the missing elderly couple N. Ireland ?

On around the first of March an elderly couples car was found at the Ballintoy harbour & police searched & thought they of committed sucide, I haven't heard anything since if they found them or their bodies ?

Update:

"Stewy" you are one sad person !

"?the?4OG" I have been to Calif. & I can fully understand just what type of person you are.

"Shaniqua" I feel bad for your family.

Where is our human kindness, if you were not interested in this story WHY bother to be so rude & obnoxious ?

If it was a missing child - we will see it. Elderly people don't have space in the news at all.... Sad, very sad.

On Saturday, a helicopter joined in the hunt for Robin and Margaret Wilson, who are both in their 70s.

Their blue car was found with the key still in the lock at Ballintoy Harbour. Money and personal belongings were still inside.

The couple, who are from Newtownabbey, often visited the north coast.

A police spokesman said that searches for the Wilsons would continue over the next few days.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the couple to contact them.

Missing people is a common news item on our nightly broad-

casts locally. Always there is an unhappy end, when they locate the missing person eventually. We would not hear about someone missing from another country, as it's not

newsworthy enough. I feel sorry for the couple thinking it was

a suicide pact to end their lives together. If they jumped from

a cliff into the sea, how soon would their bodies turn up I

wonder? I know how it feels not knowing a final outcome of

people they report as missing. And you often never hear of

them again. I'd like to hear the follow up, if there is one. Even

if I wouldn't hear of a happy ending.

Yes I remember. I thought at the time maybe one had a medical problem and they decided to end it this way. Or maybe they got swept over into the sea. I never heard any more.

Isn't it funny how something touches you on the news and you don't hear any more. Do you remember that old lady that disappeared from the nursing home in Bray Co Wicklow. I heard a few days ago that a body was found on Bray Head and it was thought to be her but we never heard any more as to whether it was or not.

    No they haven't been found.

They did find a body yesterday but they think its the other man who went missing in the area.

They thought they committed suicide because the car wasn't locked and the keys where in the ignition.

I have not heard this story but I feel so bad about anyone who is missing. I hope they find them soon. People are missing everyday in the US and never found. Makes me wonder about the UFO's. Remember close encounters when the big space ship landed hundreds of missing people got off?

  • It's funny that the news over here reports these things then suddenly is forgotten about I didn't even hear that story I live in England, so unfortunatley no but google the story and maybe a news article has been released, bless you for being concerned about this situation !
