Please look, help. Laptop screen issue?
I was working on my ibm thinkpad and everything was fine. I went upstairs to eat and the computer went into stand by mode. When I came back, the top third of the screen had lines all across it that sometimes flickered and scrolled. I tried restarting and removing the battery, but no luck

definitely sounds like a hardware problem, could be the graphics board... nasty!

Sounds like something has gone wrong inside the hardware of the computer. You'll have to get it fixed by a professional.
