when succession takes place where there has been previous growth,it is called secondary succession

    true

    primary succession is when there was not any soil present and lichens and moss breaks down parent material (rocks) into soil. secondary succession is where soil is present or there was a disturbance (fire, storm, etc..) that causes damage and the vegetation has to regrow.
