Do you believe the denouncement by Obama regarding his minister's 9/11 comments?

I find it strange and very suspicious that Obama is only now finding that the bizarre comments by his minister, friend and mentor (his words) about 9/11 being retribution from God against whites and Jews might actually be ill-conceived, racial rantings. That he now, in light of his campaign, feels he has to show his disapproval is insulting to our intelligence, and it angers me. He had a very long time before now to be offended by those statements. Does anyone else feel offended by this strategy of his?

Obama has angered me for a long time... and the fact that none of these stories were in the MSM angered me. At least some of it is getting airplay now, even though they still really really want to support him.

Obama has been influenced by his Pastor for 20 years ... he molded Obama... And WRIGHT IS ON THE SPIRITUAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR OBAMA CAMPAIGN!

What role do the Americans want Wright to play in our Government?

Obama can not just denounce a few of Wright's statements ..... this man is critical in defining Obama, and Obama's spiritual beliefls definged by this man.

Would you stay in a church for 20 years if you did not believe in the word and message of your pastor? It is not as if there is a couple of casual comments by the pastor that is in question! Combine Wright and Farrakhan... and think of them as mentors to a President of the US? ! !

Listen to and watch Michelle Obama... she is obviously influenced by this pastor ....and face it.. how can Obama not be.

And he has the AUDACITY to get his panties in a bunch to take to such a strong an irrational offense to Geraldine???

For goodness sake ... wake up democrats .... you can't not send this man as the nominee against McCain or anyone!

It his man is the nominee I will leave the Democratic party for good.

You are not a member of a church for 20years and never realize stuff likes this goes on. Before I was ready to accept Obama as a possibility in 2016 he seemed foolish and had flawed ideals and I assumed the next 8 years would help him become electable since he is intelligent and charismatic. After this I don't see him getting elected ever.

Barack can denounce all he wants,, It will do him no good.

People who count in this country both of his supporters

and others Know what there dealing with now., If you have

an IQ of higher than 50 and don't need help tying your shoes,

These people know where Obama lines up. The only ones

who will remain loyal to this side show artist, are the youth

movement and the undeducated blacks, that make up 80

per cent of his support base. So Hillary looks like you and

Bill pulled one off here, good shot,, you made em bleed,

SO I guess its on to the Convention between the two most

dispicable people who have ever launched a run for President,

Way too little and way too late!

He should have denounced the comments of this nut case long ago. Today's comments were so over the top he had no choice but to say something!

I was offended by the pastor and by Obama being a weasel!

Not at all. There is no way he has never heard Wright make these types of comments. He just flat out lied to the American public, and I hope to God the American public is smart enough to realize it. He had no problems with his church and mentor until he was running for national office, now all of a sudden it's not something he agrees with. Yeah freakin' right.

Not offended by his strategy, nor surprised,

In his arrogance, he thought that the American voter was dumb enough to buy into his rhetoric of "change" and "hope' without looking into the man, his experience and most of all his person.

So now we are starting to see the real Obama, there's more to come.

So we can vote of Obama knowing, what his "mentor" , "friend"; and pastor are like,

Or we can vote for Hillary

Or we can vote for the Old Guy.

Looks like it's going to be the Old Guy

It doesn't matter if Obama denounces the statements, McCain will weld the comments like a bag of hammers against Obama.

Obama will be bludgeoned, bruised, and battered by the time this controversy subsides.

I will vote for "none of the above" this fall after Hillary wins the nomination!

There's an old saying, "You're judged by the company you keep." Well, Obama has been keeping some very racist and bigoted company in his close relationship with his "adviser," Jeremiah Wright!

Obama has contempt for all white people, and has contempt for poor blacks and trailer trash, as well.

He considers himself to be above the rest of us, and even above the law. He snorted coke for years, but thinks that because he admitted it, it's okay. It's not. He set a bad example for all young people, and especially for young black men.

And some people want him as leader? We Americans are making ourselves a joke around the world.

Obama only said something when the comments couldn't be ignored any longer! Not only is Obama a coward for only indicating "present" he is a coward for not standing up to this raving lunatic sooner.

Pastor Write has made numerous racist speeches in the past and Obama has been silent! The pastor is a GREAT character witness for this inexperienced socialist!!

No I don't believe him. How do you so quickly and readily denounce someone you referred to as a mentor, advisor, and close friend. He married the Obama's and baptized their kids. 1) You don't turn on your friends that quickly.

    2) You don't keep close friends around if you don't agree with their fundamental values. Friendships are based on shared values, morals, opinions, etc.
