Does the United States need to come up with a new voting method to elect presidntal candidates?

Lets look at the 2000 presiendetal elections. Al Gore vs George Bush. Need I say more?

Once again in 2004 John Kerry and George Bush. Now in 2008 Clinton and Obama. What methond do you think would be the best way to elect a president?

They need to get rid of the electoral college. Popular vote only.

well i think they should make some device like a metal detector and hand each registered democratic voter a belt buckle so that democrats can walk through their candidates voting device and also having a big picture of the candidate above the device.

they must have the devices separated from the other democrat candidate(s) polling device by 1000'

that way they could just walk through where they see their candidates picture hanging and don't have to worry about having hanging chads or ballots with the candidates names on them..

No need to change the way we elect presidents. If the democrats really want to win an election, they can simply run someone acceptable to the American people. Enough with the liberal weenies and socialists. Run a decent candidate. Leave the rules alone.

We should do elections like jury duty. Get a list of all natural born Americans age 35 and older. Randomly select people to be mayors, senators, governors, president, etc. Send out summons. If someone opts out of the job we just draw another name.

the system we have now works fine when the rules remain constant, everyone that is registered to vote shall do so ONCE!

It could be better, but you're talking about changing the Constitution, which doesn't happen very often.
