anyone know how to join video clips together to make a movie?

i have a bunch of quicktime clips (mpeg) and i want to join them together to make a movie

and anything that does not have to be downloaded or purchased

i already tried iMovie, but it will only play the quicktime files without audio

maybe i need to conert the file somehow?

    YouTube.Com has a feature called Video Remixer. If you upload each video to YouTube.com then you can edit it online using YouTube's video remixer.

    Got it - explained here

    MPEG is a delivery format - not intended for further editing. The reason you're not hearing the audio is most likely due to the file being muxed. You can use a program like MPEG Streamclip to demux the file and convert it into an editable format as well.

    Hope that helps.

    I don't have any issues with mpegs in iMovie myself.

    You can try windows movie maker if you have it.

    Otherwise you'll have to d/L some software such as join split quicktime. there's many out there some are free others have trial periods.

    Oh and i think with imovie you'll have to convert it to dv. before.

    I use movie maker and it allows you to drag and drop clips, add music etc

    if u have a windows xp or vista computer, u can use windows movie maker, just drag all the videos to the time line and save to computer
