Which camcorder is better...?

The Sony DCR-SR45 or Sony DCR-SR42? And what is the difference between them? Which one would be the better choice to buy?

Update:

Are either of these camcorders easy to edit footage?

Your better off with the SR45. It has a bigger sensor for better picture quality. Other than that they are the same. As far as editing, most likely you will be transferring the video to your PC. So you may need to see if you have ample storage on your PC for the file transfer since all of your editing is done on a PC, not in the camera.

Get a DVD based camcorded as that will enable you to easily copy the videos on your computer.

Though I like Sony usually, in a Sony DVD camcorder, Sony forces you to either use an expensive Sony DVD media or be forced to see a large obnoxious blue screen that reads "Sony media recommended" .... this is absolte nonsense as a lot of other media are equal to or better quality than Sony.

Sony support was not able to help at all, they're equally rude!
