yes you can. just make sure that you have your proper ground and wireage. and your stock sterio is the monsoon isnt it? my hubby drives a grand am.
the sound quality is not 100% though-- having a good sterio reciever makes the quality of the sound!

Yes, you CAN add a "woofer" to your factory radio. The easiest way to do this is to buy a powered "woofer". Basically, it's a woofer in a box/tube that already has an "amp" built in. All you need to do is run a power wire, ground wire and signal wires. You could either splice into your factory speaker wires for the signal or buy an adapter that hooks directly into your factory speaker wiring harness. The other, more expensive, option is to buy a "subwoofer", a speaker that can handle the db's that a "woofer" cannot. You would also need to buy an amp to power this and an RCA adapter for your factory radio. Then install like you would if you had an aftermarket head unit. Hope this clears things up!!

My car has the original factory stereo and 4 speakers. I have 2x10" subwoofers. One is a JL Audio (don't know how many watts but it's smaller than the second) and the other is a RF Punch (400 watts). Is it possible to connect them to the stereo without having to replace the stereo (with one with more channels). If so what do I need? Maybe a 4 channel amp? What is the smallest/cheapest amp I would need to get to lift them? I'm not really looking for something that will 'blow me away' or anything. Just something simple.

CHECK OUT BRANDS LIKE BAZOOKA,KICKER,AND JL AUDIO . YOU CAN HAVE AMPS ON A FACTORY SYSTEM BY FACTORY STYLE CONNECTIONS but i am gonna tell you it would be cheaper just to take out the factory radio and do everything aftermarket because you have to get factory adapters for the radio and speakers then you to buy signal processor's and then if you have your factory stereo wiring harness you have to buy an adapter and harness just for the aftermarket cd playerto be put in.
