If no one else sees it I dont see the problem really. It's just underwear. Girls wear it for 2 reasons, to show them off to boyfriend, or because of panty lines. As long as she does not have a boyfriend, I would not worry. At 11, shes probably just getting a little more aware of how she looks, and doesn't want underwear bunching up under tighter pants or jeans.

What parent would buy a child a thong? That's just gross. Wearing a thong is not good for your body anyway. The membranes can be torn causing hemroids to a child. EWW

as parents we need to be cautious how we dress our children . everybody runs the kids at some point through the doll section at the store and all they see are sleazy dolls in short skirts and dark makeup . i cant believe it when i go out with my wife and kids and i will see some little 8 yr old girl with a skirt thats an inch or two below her bottom and a shirt that stops above her bellybutton. parents have to remember pedophiles and perverts are among us at the store/mall/movie theater. are you really going to advertise you child's body like that , or allow them to ? short skirts & crop top/belly shirts have always been found sexualy apealing as well as thongs and even makeup. at what point did parents stop being the parent and let the child make up their minds? just because your child can name off some friends that get to dress like an adult does not mean that its ok and you should give in.
thank you for your question.

If shes wearing a thong of course shes flaunting it, shes doing it in school where her parents wouldnt know. That is WAY too young to be wearing a thong anyway, those things are so uncomfortable its like a constant wedgie, why else would she wear it if not to show it off.

Yes it's fine as long as u don't show is off don't try to have the string above ur pants so ppl can see it just done make a big deal about it and ur fine!

I wore one at that age & did NOT flaunt it.
I was just embarrased because the other kids always made fun of me for either my underwear lines or I would have to go in the bathroom to "fix" my underwear that made themselves into a thong so no one saw me correcting it..

Those things should be banned! They are too darn uncomfortable anyhow, never mind her disturbing young age to be wearing it!

Disgusting, the parent should be evaluated for a mental disorder. This is a child, not the next Brittney Spears.
