Can Child Protective Services get in trouble for responding to a known false allegation?
Child Protective Services has responded to known false allegations of abuse/neglect multiple times for 5 years. Can I press charges on the false reporter and CPS? Please help. I live in the State of Nebraska. Thank you.

If the information is reported to CPS, the must follow up. They will not get in trouble for investigating a complaint brought to their attention. The opposite is true... they could be liable if they do not follow up.
As far as the person reporting the false allegations, yes... they can get in trouble. However, that may be tough to prove. Just because the allegations can not be substantiated, it does not mean they are false.

Are you #$%ing kidding?
So you think that CPS should play by the "Boy that cried wolf" rule. It doesn't work that way. For the sake of childem, as they cannot defend themselves many times, CPS has to do an investigation. It may be a short and sweet investigation, but they are still required by law to do it.
Your false reporter could be gone after in civil court, but you'll be hard pressed. If the person is a mandatory reporter and they have even the slightest inkling that something is amiss, they are covered.

It would depend on if the CPS worker can be proven to have perjured themselves. Keep in mind that they are just as likely to be sued for NOT investigating any report.

You can add my sister to that list. I think she has called on every member in my family, other women she doesn't like, former bosses, etc.
I would love to expose her abuse of the system and see her get in trouble.
