NFL Head Coach...?

Anyone here play NFL Head Coach at all? I've played it for awhile, not because it's great (it's got more bugs than an insect museum) but because the idea and general system is good. If you've played it before would you be willing to play the new Head Coach game coming out?

Update:

Well that was the aspect I liked. I like micromanaging a team. granted it can get repetative (especially practices holy hell) but it is great at giving you a good coaching experience, well at least as far as a game can. I think they should have let you interview players before the draft or in the FA though, because you wouldn't sign a guy without interviewing them at least.

Update 2:

I saw it somewhere, it's going to be called NFL Head Coach 09. They are going to try to make it a franchise... but not many people actually like the idea, and the bugginess of the first one didn't help. I've encountered over 20 typos in the game, not to mention at least 30+ more bugs. meh. If they fix that I'd be happy, I mean my 3rd year draft didn't even happen... all the draftees went right into the free agency... I got all the best rookies though!

Update 3:

Update 4:

I agree about the progression. And the motivation... it's tough to get a QB up, but I got half of the Lions starters up to 99s on defense and every position except QB on offense up to 99 as well. In fact this past offseason I had 6 90+ receivers with my team, and I traded 2 of the top 3 (Mike Williams and Charles Rogers... I know I laughed too) away for picks I then couldn't use in the non-existent draft (Now drafting pick 692... now there's a pick!)

Update 5:

TJ I'm envious of you. GF that loves football. You are lucky.

I played on a computer. Liked the game alot. 3 issues. The games take too long, well not too long, but you must be able to save in the middle of a game. 2. Player progression doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason. 3. When you simulate practices or games, some of the injuries are way too random. Like the game would play the next one.

I bought it and was very excited only to be disappointed in the boring game play. Like you, I liked the idea, but it just wasn't executed right.

If there is a new Head Coach coming out though, I will for sure check it out.

Where did you hear that a new one is coming out?

I thought about it...but my football loving GF pointed out that I already devote a healthy portion of my time to football..... and it's not like I get paid to. (sport columnist= dream job)

Antways.... I also stayed away cuz of the bug issues. Heck...I don't even have time for Madden to be honest. I'd ratherr spend my time reading draft boards, player interviews and watching game film, anyhow.

For me, nothing comes close to the real thing.

Source(s): *I know man...how lucky can one guy get...all this football knowledge...good looks, a great job...a GF that loves her some football...and some Lemony action on the side.... I AM the PIMP DADDY! LOL! (Yeah...if only life was so good... but, the GF thing DOES help......)

I would consider it, but I was pretty disappointed by the first installment.

There was way too much micro managing and not enough real decisions to be made, I played for 3 hours and didn't get to the first game. I never played it again.

It never came out for Xbox 360 ( to my knowledge ) but I heard some good things about it.
