my 4 year old sony LCD projection tv picture is getting darker does anyone know why?

the colors are still good and i have turned the brightness setting up to the max setting

    Projection TVs have a high intensity lamp as the light source. They wear out and gradually get dim. You probably need to replace it. Check the manual re how. Be warned, the price will floor you ... several hundred dollars.

    Read the article at the link in case there is something you have not been doing that you can do to extend the lifetime of the replacement lamp.

    u need to replace the bulb. it will probably cost about $100.
